The Builder Pro Home Planning System comprises Alan J Maki’s Builder Pro sample plans and symbol libraries and Microspot MacDraft Professional drafting software.  This is a potent combination which offers a powerful yet easy to use 2D drafting software package with ready made plans and symbol libraries.  Perfected by Alan Maki over the last 20 years this system enables you to draw home plans for planning permits in the fastest possible time.

In the Builder Pro package are all the items commonly used to produce any new home, addition or remodeling plan.  Designed by a Home Building Designer it answers the industries common needs for producing a full set of working Drawings.  The package is organized so that the items you need are easily accessible when you need them to speed up the drawing process.

How does it work?

With Builder Pro you receive a Master Plan which comprises 6 layers.  This plan can be customized to use for all your drawings so that they have your companies look and feel to them.

Then there is the Information Plan which is an annotated version which tells you how to work with the Master.  You also receive a complete sample plan of a colonial style home to show what you can achieve.

You use your Master Plan for every new assignment.  Enter the customer details and start your drawing.  On the plan there are many of the commonly used items for the plan view or you can also use the plan layer library to obtain other less common items.

There are 16 pages of helpful notes to tell you how to use Builder Pro and MacDraft to complete your drawings in the easiest and quickest way.  Once you have completed the first floor move to the next layer for the second floor and progress through the elevation views, sectional views, and foundation plan.  There are also separate symbol libraries for the elevation layer and for the sectional layer. Complete plan libraries of porches, breezeways family rooms, garages and more and partial plan libraries of farmers porches and stairs are provided so you can easily add them to your drawings saving you vast amounts of time over drawing them from scratch.

There are plenty of other sample plans and sample documents and it is all explained in an easy to follow printed manual.   Builder pro includes the first year free updates and technical support by email, forum or telephone.  This can be renewed in subsequent years.  Builder pro will grow and be refined in the years ahead with your feedback. There will be many more complete plans that can be purchased for small fees that can be resold over and over again as part of your finished designs.  You can also add your own designs to your libraries so you will spend less and less time on repetitive tasks and keep reducing the time spent on a set of drawings increasing your profitability.
