DWG Viewer FAQ

DWG Viewer is an app for viewing, annotating and marking up AutoCAD DWG and DXF files on the Mac. Aimed at those who don't need to edit DWG files, only add comments. If you are interested in editing DWG files then check out MacDraft Professional for more information.

YES, you can open your windows DWG files. Sometimes if the file contains fills and hatchings they will not be included, but DWG Viewer will notify you of this as you are opening the file.

DWG Viewer allows you to view, annotate and export your drawings as PDF files. However MacDraft Professional allows you to edit and save DWG files.

YES, we offer a range of training options tailored to make it easier for you. You'll have a choice of Online Training, In-House Training and On-Site Training. For more information on these options and their prices see our Product Training page.

YES, DWG viewer allows you to define the scale and units of the DWG file before you open it. This can be done by selecting the unit preference, such as Metric or English.You can then choose the desired scale, either from a default list or by entering a custom one.

DWG Viewer lets you open your files from anywhere on your system and external devices, you do not need to upload your files to any storage area first, meaning there are no waiting times for uploads.

With DWG Viewer you can open any file size. Please note that the larger the file, the longer it may take to read in.

The latest DWG files are now supported up to version 2013/2014/2015/2016, allowing you to open these DWG files.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for download versions of the software once the serial number and the download link has been supplied.

We strongly recommend that you check the suitability of the product to ensure it meets your requirements prior to purchase by downloading the Trial Version.

Payments for orders are processed by our e-commerce company called element 5. They take payment and supply the serial number and the download link for Download versions of the software.

For physical products and upgrades, element 5 takes payment and pass the information onto us to supply the goods. Physical products are shipped via international sign for delivery service. It can take between 4-8 working days to deliver, depending on the location of the final destination.

Upgrades are checked by Microspot for eligibility and sent via the email supplied by the customer, if this email is incorrect and no other form of communication has been supplied such as a phone number or fax number, we will have to wait until the customer contacts us. It is also possible that the email address supplied was correct but the customer has a junk mail filter, one is advised to check that folder.

Our estimated delivery times and rates for physical products are dependent on the destination. Prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling and are converted by our e-commerce site at the time of purchase.

Note: Delivery charges and times are subject to change and for mixed orders the higher per delivery rate will apply.

YES, however we do require that the disk is sent back to us for testing. We do not need the whole package to be returned, only the CD itself. In some circumstances we will not ask for you to return the CD. In both cases a CD replacement will be issued free of charge.
